star rating  Magical Saturday Tequila Tour - One of the best private tours I’ve been on! My day started out with Sergio picking me up from my hotel right on time and heading to Tequila. ... read more Sergio gave me insightful history about Guadalajara and Tequila while playing some Luis Miguel music on the way. We stopped at historic Tequila production sites and cruised around small towns eventually making our way to the beautiful city of Tequila in which we ate great food and shopped with the locals. Sergio was a great guide and made me feel safe and informed throughout the entire trip. Highly, Highly recommended!

star rating  Fun day!  - Ronnie and Edgar were awesome! Lots of history and stories in both Spanish and English. It was a long ride getting there, and they broke it up with a couple... read more stops I could have done without the stop at the gate of the ranch in exchange for more time in Ajijic. We weren't able to enter the ranch - just peek in from the street. The tequila tasting was nice, the tequila was good, and the price was right. Lunch was fabulous and the time we had in Chapala was good. The boat ride on the lake was short, but a nice little addition to the day. If you want to see Chapala / Ajijic to get a general feel for the area, this is a great way to go!

star rating  Great guide and Ajijic experience; Chapala is skippable  - Hector was a great tour guide with fluent English and a great attitude/energy!

Ajijic felt like an authentic town experience! There was entertainment in the local square, and businesses... read more and galleries to explore. There were a variety of things to see, do, and eat.

In contrast, Chapala felt a little tourist-trap-esque — many vendors on the boardwalk (tour area) selling the same thing and being kind of pushy. The area was not very big and there wasn't much diversity in what you can see.
