star rating  Chapala and Ajijic - Lake Chapala through the Ages  - My Panoramex excursion to Chapala and Ajijic was outstanding. The guide, Ronny, was friendly and considerate. His knowledge of local history was encyclopedic! He also capably... read more assisted with photos.

Ronny sketched out the history of Chapala, from the indigenous times through the colonization and wars of independence to the present. He showed how a good part of this history is encapsulated by murals inside a small lighthouse at the end of a pier.

He pointed out local flora and fauna, including parrots flying freely in trees and the many birds on the lake.

In Ajijic, we had a wonderful lunch at a lakeside restaurant and a walk around town and on the boardwalk.

Ronny drew attention to old Spanish churches and pointed out unusual architectural details. He also pointed out many interesting murals, accompanied by details about the artists.

Associating pictures and murals with sometimes dry historical facts is a great way to make history come alive. I ended the day with a much better understanding of local history and culture.

star rating  Wonderful day of Tequila!  - We went on a private tour to tequila with Norberto yesterday and it was wonderful! His knowledge of all things tequila was amazing and we were so happy we chose... read more this over a group tour. Visiting a smaller distillery instead of just Jose Cuervo was the best. We actually learned and a lot and it was very interesting. Norberto was very friendly and answered all of our questions, would definitely use him again for tours from Guadalajara.

star rating  Magical Saturday Tequila Tour - One of the best private tours I’ve been on! My day started out with Sergio picking me up from my hotel right on time and heading to Tequila. ... read more Sergio gave me insightful history about Guadalajara and Tequila while playing some Luis Miguel music on the way. We stopped at historic Tequila production sites and cruised around small towns eventually making our way to the beautiful city of Tequila in which we ate great food and shopped with the locals. Sergio was a great guide and made me feel safe and informed throughout the entire trip. Highly, Highly recommended!
